Heather Parry’s Live Nation Productions is booming after being involved in the productions of A Star Is Born and a host of documentary films from the likes of Lady Gaga, P Diddy, Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds and a whole lot more. However, the film and television wing of the live entertainment giant started off quietly enough in 2015 before gaining the momentum that it’s currently riding.
However, that all changed with a few conversations between Heather Parry and key players in the film and television business. One of the most notable of these explains how Heather Parry and Live Nation Productions got involved in the production of A Star Is Born, which features Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga and became one of the biggest hits of 2018.
As soon as Ms. Parry heard that Bradley Cooper was involved in the film in a directorial and starring capacity, she knew that she had to be involved. She was already friends with Mr. Cooper and rang his agent Dave Bugliari. Soon she was involved with the production and ended up at a dinner party for Martha Stewart at producer Bill Gerber’s house. Instead of talking to Ms. Stewart about her recipes, Heather Parry ending up pitching A Star Is Born to Bill Gerber and this led to a number of meetings that led to the film getting made.
On top of working on the film, Live Nations Productions and Heather Parry have worked on a variety of other musically inclined documentaries and films. These include the likes of P Diddy’s Can’t Stop Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story and Believer, which focuses on Dan Reynolds’ relationship with the Mormon church and its stance on LGBT issues. Other notable films include The After Party, which stars Wiz Khalifa, Teyana Taylor and French Montana.
