One of the biggest problems of the ongoing war and political conflict that is going on in many of the countries is that it has displaced millions of people. The individuals who have lost their homes due to war and terrorism are now searching for new place to call their home, and the onus is on the world governments to welcome them in their countries.

Many of the countries have been accepting refugees and migrants with open arms while many countries have imposed restrictions or limitations on how many refugees they can take.

However, with that said, it cannot be said that the human and civil rights violations are the problems of only war torn or third world countries. It is because developed nations as the United States of America has also witnessed increased reports of human rights violations.

Recently, one of the cases of civil rights abuses that caught the lime light in the United States was the arrest of Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey, who are popularly known in the country for being the co-owners of Phoenix News Times and Village Voice Media.

Maricopa County Sheriff, Joe Arpaio arrested Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey from their residences during the wee hours of the night without any valid warrant or reasons of arrest.

It resulted in the lawsuit being filed by Jim and Michael against the state that they eventually won. Along with the clean chit from the court of law, they were always awarded a compensation amount of $3.75 million that Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey has decided to make into Larkin and Lacey Frontera Fund.

It is a fund that would be used to constructively help fight against racial disparity, human rights abuses, civil rights violations, freedom of speech abuse, and more.
